Considerations for the fire circle
What to bring, what to do at the Bohemian Fire Circle...
Get plenty of rest beforehand, drink lots of water throughout the event, and remember to eat healthful meals, as this helps one stay grounded and present. If you feel yourself getting tired or feeling "funny", then drink some water and rest...
Bring festive or spiritual-themed decorations, for yourself, the hosting pension, for the fire circle.
Bring musical instruments, for yourself and also shareable ones.
Musically, come more with curiosity and community spirit than with ambition and ego... Give space to all the various musical possibilities and voices... including periods of silence.
Please carry on all casual conversations at a low volume and well away from the fire circle.
When communicating something to another person inside the Fire Circle, PLEASE be aware of the energetic circumstances overall. Try to wisper something, if you must, or better is chanting something, or best of all is silent gesturing.
If everyone is co-operating and in tune, this will not be difficult
Bring comfortable clothes. The weather could be chilly, or warm, so plan for anything. Bring a comfortable folding chair or blankets to make a resting nest near the firecircle. Bring candles, flashlights, torches, or materials to make them...
During the day, people may be resting or sleeping. Try to keep a respectful level of quietude. Your friends will appreciate that.
Do encourage one another to sing, dance or play some music, or learn anything new
Be fun and friendly and easy to get along with... If you are having any difficulties, please talk to others. If the situation is getting serious, please inform one of the Council people as soon as possible.
Bring your highest visions and heartsongs to share.
Bring a friend.
What NOT to bring, what NOT to do at the Bohemian Fire Circle...
- This is not a good place for experiments with drugs.
- Do not shine your flashlight into other people's faces-- keep them pointed low to the ground.
- Please do not bring flashing or blinking electronic lights to the fire circle. These can disrupt or inhibit other people's states of consciouness.
- If you take a smoking break, do so well away from the fire circle and down-wind.
- The pension serves local Pilsner beer and some spirits. Please enjoy these ONLY in the hospitality areas and in moderation. DO NOT bring alchoholic beverages into the Fire Circle area.
- The pension already has resident dogs and cats, plus there are other animals in the fields. Therefore, please do not bring any pets to the gathering unless it is really, truly neccessary that you do so. And then, taking care of the pet is YOUR PERSONAL responsibility, even if it means the pet must be kept in a special restricted area.
- DO NOT become a nuisance or behave disrespectfully, or in a predatory manner, towards any other person at the event. Anybody who becomes a liability may be ejected from the event without any monetary compensation.
